CANNIBAL
SHOJO
YOKO
SUMMARY
Yoko Tabemoto is your basic "shojo-manga heroine"... except for the fact that she's a cannibal. Coming from a family of cannibals in charge of their own Western-style funeral home, Yoko feeds on cooked human flesh. Keeping it a secret from everyone else except her best friend Risa, Yoko finally decides she wants to meet other cannibals like her. This life-changing decision leads her to a series of events that end up with Yoko meeting a handsome, young boy, which causes her to ask this question: "Am I in love with him or do I just really, really want to eat him?"
Cannibal Shojo Yoko is a project in progress. |
MAIN CHARACTERS
Yoko Tabemoto
Yoko is your typical high school girl who doesn't stand out much, but is full of love and energy. She's a reckless ball of emotions, easily swayed
by her environments and the people around her. Although she can be a mess, she cares deeply for her friends and does her best everyday to make them happy. |
Risa Sakano
Risa is Yoko's best friend with a very odd personality. Although not exactly polar opposites, Risa can come off as aloof and indifferent, but once her mouth opens, she can be crude and obnoxious, Risa isn't afraid to state her opinion on anything but will hold back if need be. At the start of the story, she is the only one that knows Yoko's secret.

Ryohei Yoshida
Ryohei is a young boy blessed with a face that garners everyone's adoration, but his extremely weird interests and inability to sense the mood turn off people once they get to know him. He claims to be sociable, but in reality, he just loves observing people and their habits, ideals, and overall morals. Albeit weird, Ryohei is dedicated and caring as a friend (in his own way).

Shiki Torahara
Shiki is a cannibal who protects his timid personality with a delinquent-like persona. After a misunderstanding during his childhood, Shiki created a false "bad-boy personality" in order for people to not be suspicious of his cannibalistic habits. Once his tough exterior is down, he is an emotional mess, just as much as Yoko.
